What Is This Anime About?
Mizuho Nishino is a second-year high school student with dreams of becoming a manga artist.
In 2020, as the pandemic cancels school events one after another, one of her childhood friends — Kizuki — suddenly confesses his feelings for her.
From that moment, the balance inside their tight-knit group of childhood friends quietly begins to shift.
The story moves back and forth between their high school years and ten years later, slowly revealing how the feelings left unresolved during that time continue to shape each of them into adulthood.
About the Original Manga
The manga ran for 14 volumes and is now complete.
Season 1 covers the earlier part of the story, while Season 2 follows through to the finale.
Because the manga is already finished, the anime has a proper ending — one that gives every character the conclusion they deserve.
If you finish the anime and want more, the original manga is available in English through Kodansha USA.
What to Know Before You Start Watching
This is a slow-moving story.
If you are looking for dramatic confessions and constant romantic tension, this series may feel quieter than you expect.
What makes this anime worth watching is not the events themselves — it is the emotional detail inside them.
A glance held a moment too long. A silence that means more than words. A small scene in episode three that only makes sense after episode ten.
If you watch with that kind of attention, this story becomes surprisingly deep.
Who Should Watch This
This anime is especially good for viewers who enjoy:
- Childhood friends romance
- Stories that take emotions seriously
- Shōjo manga adaptations like Kimi ni Todoke or Ao Haru Ride
- Coming-of-age stories set against the backdrop of the pandemic era
- Romance where friendship carries as much weight as love
Final Note
Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You tells a complete story across 24 episodes — 12 in Season 1, 12 in Season 2.
Because the original manga is finished, the anime ends cleanly.
Each character gets their moment. Each feeling finds its place.
If you start it, see it through to the end.
The final episodes make everything that came before feel worth it.
