In a world where creatures called Devils are rampant in everyday life, a young boy named Denji works as a “Devil Hunter” alongside Pochita, the “Chainsaw Devil,” to pay off his deceased father’s debt. However, the debt hardly decreases, and his wish for an ordinary life remains far out of reach.
One day, Denji is betrayed by the Yakuza who had been arranging his work and is killed by the “Zombie Devil.” However, he is revived when Pochita becomes his heart. After gaining the power to transform into the “Chainsaw Devil,” Denji wipes out a horde of zombies. He is then found by Makima, a Devil Hunter from Public Safety, who takes him under her supervision.
After moving to the Public Safety headquarters in Tokyo, Denji is ordered by Makima to live with his senior Aki Hayakawa and Power, a “Blood Fiend” chosen to be Denji’s partner. Public Safety is pursuing the elimination of the “Gun Devil,” which once killed nearly 1.2 million people in just 5 minutes. Denji fights various enemies alongside his companions. In terms of manga coverage, it adapted up to Chapter 38 of Volume 5 ( ´艸｀)

It’s absolutely packed with gore! (lol)
When I first started reading, I was shocked by how graphic it was! 😱
Like, “Wow, they really went there?!” (laughs)
If you’re okay with graphic imagery, you’ll find the story super exciting and entertaining! ☆
The story has many touching scenes about human bonds that’ll bring tears to your eyes, and you can’t help but chuckle at those moments where you think “Men are such idiots!” (*ﾉωﾉ)
The battle scenes will keep you on the edge of your seat (;´･ω･)
It’s deeply moving to see how each character’s feelings for others intersect in such perfect ways – sometimes missing each other, sometimes clashing, but always growing and pushing each other forward (´；ω；`)
